The bike article was pretty interesting. As someone who spends a lot of time in college towns, I totally relate to this. I grew up in a city of 3.7 million people and there was no real way to get around anywhere in Houston on a bike. Transportation by bike has become huge at this point in time and I think its really important to create safe and useful bike paths in more areas of the US just like in Germany. However, it all comes down to courtesy of the road. There are people that are busy and in a hurry and everyone can be susceptible to road rage or being run down by cyclists just like drivers.

This leads to the next article about crossing the street in Germany. Its so interesting that in Germany it is completely opposite of major cities in the U.S. like NYC or LA. It is encouraged to wait for the light to turn green in order to cross the street, where as here, even in Ann Arbor, people walk at their own discretion. Pedestrians have the right of way even if it is not their turn to walk.

As for the logical thinking and train-fare articles, wouldn't it be common sense to make sure you had a valid ticket for the train? They are checked at some point even here in the US.
